It's September which means it's time for our annual identification meeting.  We'll need plenty of fresh mushrooms at this event, so please bring along all your latest finds - in good condition only.

MAW's best identifiers will separate the meeting attendees into small groups, and work through the identification skill set; fungal terminology, diagnostic markers, field guide recommendations, dichotomous keys and other various best practices.  And yes, the smell test is very important in mushroom ID, so don't be surprised when someone hands you a fungus and asks 'What's this smells like to you?"
