The Mycological Association of Washington (MAWDC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to all people interested in mushrooms, from curious beginners to professional mycologists.  We are committed to educating and entertaining the public in all things mycological through the speakers at our monthly meetings, our weekend forays, special events at local gardens, culinary get togethers, and our annual 3 day get-away in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania.  We provide research and specialized grants to the community to further the science of mycology as well as taxonomic efforts through DNA testing of local fungi samples.
