Last year we received a couple of requests for a mycology 101 lecture, so for our March meeting, we're planning to do just that and go back to the basics.
Come join us at Kensington Library as former foray chair Jared Urchek leads us through a talk of just what makes a mushroom a mushroom, their role in forest ecology, and how we can best employ that knowledge to become a better mushroom hunter ... that should whet your appetite for the rapidly approaching morel season.
Also, as an added bonus, we're going to do some armchair traveling to sunny Spain as Albert Casciero and Connie Durnan present highlights from their 2018 Spanish mush-roaming tour. ¡Que agradable!
