This Sunday, why don't you put your holiday shopping on hold for a bit, and come out and enjoy nature at beautiful Great Falls MD, where Dr. Natalie Howe and Tom McCoy will co-lead an excursion focusing on lichens.  Great Falls is stunning any time of year, and while lichens will be the primary focus as we make our way from the parking lot to Olmstead Island, you’ll also hear the occasional tidbit about the canal and the geology.  We’ll meet in front of the Visitor Center at 10am.  No registration required for this event.

Please note if you don't have a national park pass, there's an entrance fee of $20 per car that is valid for one week.
