For this lichen themed walk we're returning to scenic Great Falls, so be sure to bring along your cameras as we visit this photogenic vista.  Professional nature photographer Liz Guertin will be joining us, and sharing a few secrets on how to take better photos, especially re macrophotography.  Lichen photography requires magnification.

Dr. Natalie Howe and Tom McCoy will co-lead the walk, and while Great Falls is stunning any time of year, it's romantic sublime in the springtime.  Lichens will be the primary discussion as we make our way from the visitor center to Olmstead Island, but you’ll also hear the occasional tidbit about the canal and the bedrock geology.  We’ll meet in front of the Visitor Center at 10am.  No registration required for this event.

Please note if you don't have a national park pass, there's an entrance fee of $20 per car that is valid for one week.
