Hello all - I am very excited to announce that this coming Sunday we will meet at the future site of the Rachel Carson Museum.  In case you weren't aware, Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring was the spark for the modern environmental movement, and she was a true force of nature.  Rachel is one of my idols, and I did a short presentation about her for MAWDC a few months ago, and now we're going to have the opportunity to visit the future site of her museum, the Spring Song museum with the Executive Director of this effort, Rebecca Henson.

After talking about Rachel and the future plans for her museum, we'll take a short stroll along Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River to discuss the fall zone geology, and of course, any fungi we happen to find.
